Remarkable service - SANBS

To whom it may concern

I trust this mail finds you well.

It is seldom that we as blood donators take the time to thank the SANBS and the staff for an amazing job you do to save lives.

I have been donating blood for some time now and have been part of the SANBS family for a couple of years.

I would like to bring the following to managements attention. It is seldom that you receive the proper customer service in general in South Africa. Your SANBS staff that is out in the field that has to work with te public is very special group of people selected by GOD. No matter if they are the person who registers the donor on arrival up to the person that pulls out that scary thick needle(LOL) carefully before you arm. They care for us at all times. They are friendly there facial expression show that the SANBS appreciate that we take out of day to donate blood to safe lives.

I Salute all of the SANBS staff for offering up their Saturday’s, for sitting in a gazebo or in a shopping centre to offer a wonderful service to safe lives.

A special salute to the staff that were on duty on Saturday @ Festival mall. It was my first experience using the new electronic system, the lady that assisted me explained to me the whole process clearly and I used the device without a hiccup. At the blood/iron checking station I received the same service floorless. Last but not least the lady that had the opportunity to stick that scary needle (LOL) into my arm was so caring and constantly asked if I am ok. Although I have donated blood many of times before. Oh yes, how can forget about the only gent that was there, although I received the famous juice and cookie he offered me water to top it off. The way he showed the caring factor will remain with me for a long time. I joked with him at times and I could see he is a peoples person. I did not get his name all I know he lives in Selection Park in Springs. That is how far our conversation went, so Mr Selection Park you and the rest of the Festival team is a true asset for the SANBS.

The new paperless system the SANBS has implements is just great. I know there will be some teething problems, but what system is perfect when you use it for the first time. Thank you for making my life easier with the new system, The only thing I have against the paperless system is I don’t get to walk away with that famous red pen (DAMN). I had to come clean regarding the huge amount of pens what goes missing in action. I am the cause of it (LOL)

To all the other fields workers you are all assets to SANBS we appreciate what you do.

Last but not least. Thank you SANBS for the awesome cooler bag, it will come in very handy.
