Negligence

I found great disappointment with the SANBS team that they failed to inform me that I was not allowed to donate blood due to the iron supplements that I have been taking for +- 2 years. This was only brought to my attention on Wednesday (16/05/2018). In all my interviews with the phlebotomists I have been disclosing that I am taking asthma medication and iron supliments.

I am also unhappy with the answer given to me by the Sr running the clinic (Sr Niki), whom advised that my blood was MAYBE given to a patient who was not iron deficient hence why my blood was acceptable in previous donations, my leading question is what happened to the patience’s that previously received my blood as I was on theses iron supplements?
