Zero customer service!
Ive been a loyal Samsung customer for decades. From my first washing machine and fridge (im still using my fridge, purchased early 2000's), to all my mobile phones over the many years, and the one im using to type this message, to the washing machine i recently purchased from makro (i will be leaving a negative review for them as well) and only used for the very first time today. I took a video when i unpacked it as proof of when i started using it. Two issues: 1) i struggled badly with the transport bolts. One of them refused to come out. This system, while to protect the drum during transport, is not at all user friendly. It should not be necessary to spend more money to get a "technician" to remove them. I had to ask a male on the property to help me, and even he struggled. I called the helpline twice and had video calls twice. The ***** damaged the thread, so the bolt could not be removed with the *****. I followed the instructions of the helpline operator. I was told this is not covered by the warranty, yet how else was the bolt to be removed? Now im being asked to spend more money!? For something ive used for ONE wash. I feel cheated and angry! Does your company just want to suck customers dry, and not give any customer service?! While your shareholders are smiling!
2) i purchased the machine (brand new from makro riversands, do they sell shop soiled items? Because i paid the full asking price and expected a brand new, unsoiled machine) when i called the store and told them there were marks under the door of the machine, in several places, they told me I was meant to exchange it within 14 days. My situation, as the previous poster also said, is unique. I purchased the machine in September (i have all the documentation) with the intention of using it that weekend, as i had just moved into the cottage on the 5th of September, a Monday. I must have purchased the machine later that week, but before i could even take it out of the box, my yard manager told me their cottage would be available at the end of September. I wanted to be in their cottage for the few months i have in South Africa, so chose to leave the machine packaged, so it didnt get damaged moving. I had to stay in the first cottage until this past weekend, when i finally moved. This afternoon i noticed stains on the machine and was told my 14 day period is up and there's nothing they can do. So i was sold a soiled machine, with a faulty transport bolt, but paid full price.
Not to mention all the time spent on the phone calling various "helplines" which were of no help at all! While im trying to unpack and settle, after living out of boxes for 2 months.
My stress levels today have been the highest ive experienced for a very long time and im questioning my loyalty to the Samsung brand!
