You pay for bad service

So i have been a loyal Samsung customer over the past 8 to 10 years. Owning models from S3, S4 S5 Note 5 and S7 edge between myself and my wife. So I decided to go with the familair route of going with a Samsung with my new upgrade.

I got the new samsung S8 + model. I did an online upgrade with Vodacom and the parcel was delivered in time and everything was good. I work as a Salesman for Mercedes Benz and there is allot of clients around us. 4 days after purchase a client accidentaly bumped me and my phone fell, shattering the screen on 2 places. Knowing that Samsung offers the ADH waranty on the screens I was not to mmuch bother y this.

So here starts my problem, No one told me that you need Samsung Mobile care to get a screen repair assistance on these models. Not the the sales person speaking to me from Vodacom or even the salesman inside menlyn who I spoke to about the repair. ( Samsung do you even train the people selling your product). So I took leave to take the phone is and I had to find out that i had 3 options of repairing this phone. 1. Pay R5000. 2. Pay R69 on top of the already almost R1000 im paying for the phone a month. 3. pay the 24 month cover period upfront of R1299.

Ok so no problem i told the samsung agent inside Neworld that it is fine lets do the R69 option and then i can also give my phone in for repairs. INCORECT. You now have to access this broken phone, go onto the samsung reward up, register for Samsung Mobile Care and wait for someone to phone you. Cool, I went home very down about everything I learened about this amazing R15000 phone i got. Not one to simply get negative I did the registration and sure as hell I kid you not I had to wait 2 days for nobody to phone me. So I decided to pen my frustrations on an email to customer services. amazingly 1 hour later I was registered and that very same night I took my phone in. They took my phone in but their systems were down, so they had to manualy do my device receiving and i was told that sombody will phone me the next morning with a reference number. Lets move along 2 days and no reference number, I again had to phone to get that reference number. Again being optimistic to receiving the phone soon we move 2 days on again, and I phoned and i am told they need the Proof of Purcahse of the phone to continue with the phone repair...realy...you starting to catch where im going with this. So my repair was delayed because for 2 days nobody could get hold of me to as me for the poP? That after having it in store upon submitting my device. After asking the agent if he wants my ID or Proof of Purchase.

So now I have sent in my PoP, I have phoned numerous times, I have taken a days leave, I am also going to pay R1500 upon receiving of my phone ( WHO THE HECK KNOWS WHEN).

Samsung is this the service you give to clients buying your flagship models? IS my money so small in the big pond that is your back pocket that you dont care.

Why do I have to pay for service? Because service is not what I am getting.
