X2 Samsung Galaxy Watch LTE misleading

Dear Samsung Team,

I am beyond disappointed.

I purchased two Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 LTE devices for my children with the expectation that they would function reliably, as advertised, and give me peace of mind. From the start, both watches have failed to deliver more than 3–6 hours of battery life — even after disabling all core features, which defeats the entire purpose of a smart LTE watch.

I booked the watches in for service, and your official service center returned a report (Job No. 46249) saying no fault was found and recommended that I switch off apps, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, brightness, and more — essentially everything the watch is supposed to do.

This is misleading advertising. Your website and marketing claim 24+ hours of use. I’m receiving under 6, and your team is refusing a refund. That is unacceptable.

I will now proceed with the following: • Post a detailed public complaint on HelloPeter • Open a formal complaint with the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud (CGSO) • Raise awareness through social media and other consumer platforms

This is not just poor service — it is a breach of consumer trust.

I am attaching the service report, and I expect Samsung to take responsibility and process a full refund for both watches. If not, I will move forward with public and legal escalation.

Sincerely, Lizelle Booyse South Africa, Western Cape *** +***8

This is honestly becoming ridiculous.

Samsung already booked the watches in, already ran diagnostics (Job No. 46249), and already told me that the battery is “fine” — **as long as I switch off Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, apps, brightness, and other key features**.

Now I'm being asked to send the watches in again?

Why? So I can be told *again* that I must turn off all the features that make the watch smart in the first place? I didn’t buy these watches to wear dead screens on my kids’ arms — I bought them so my kids could contact me during the day in case of emergency. That’s the **whole point** of the product. And right now, **the product fails at its core purpose**.

I’ve explained this, I’ve been patient, and I’ve followed all the channels — but this back and forth is a waste of my time. For Samsung this may be a small issue, but for me, it’s a lot of money and a massive disappointment.

I’m not sending the watches in again. I want a refund. Period.
