Would love a phone that is faultless!
My husband entered into a contract with MTN in October 2018 which included a Samsung Note 9 phone which was the top of the range Samsung phone at the time. He took delivery of this phone which he gave to me as a gift in December 2018. To my dismay the phone proved faulty when I put it into service. On 4 January 2019 I took the phone to Samsung Store Eastgate Shopping Centre In an attempt to have it attended to. After a month of fighting and arguing I eventually received the phone back. Unfortunately the problems that the phone was taken in for was not resolved. Unfortunately we were booked on an extended vacation and the phone could not be returned To Samsung at that stage.
Early August upon our return from overseas I returned the phone to Samsung Store Eastgate. The phone was attended to and unfortunately the problema remained when I took delivery of the phone. I once again returned the phone to Samsung store Eastgate with no success. On 22 August 2019 I once again returned the phone to Samsung Store Eastgate. The staff (Mohammed) assured me that if they could not resolve the problems with the phone that they will revert to Samsung SA to arrange for the replacement of the phone. On 30 September 2019 I returned to Samsung Store Eastgate with a faulty phone. The problems with the phone was now greater than ever before. On top of the original problems the phone now could only be used if the speaker was used to hear a phone call. The problems thus got worse not fewer. On 3 October 2019 I received a phone call to advise that Samsung will not replace the phone but they will once again wish to attempt to repair the phone.
I once again returned the phone for repair on 7 October 2019. Unfortunately the phone remains faulty.
I find the behaviour of Samsung and appalling! After a year the phone has never been faultless. I bought the latest model brand new top of the range phone with a warranty. Today, almost a year later, the phone that I bought is still faulty and the supplier refuses to replace it. I sincerely hope that I am not representative of the average Samsung customer.
The worst part is that I just messaged Mohammed that the phone is still faulty. He responded that the phone should have been replaced a long time ago and that I should rather try another service centre!
