Waterproof Samsung Galaxy Active Watch Not So Waterproof

Everyday when I go to bed I switch my watch off and back on in the morning. On Monday morning it refused to turn on, after a full day working with no issues. It is still under warranty so I took it to SSS Cellular an Approved Samsung Repair Centre for repairs. Now I'm told that it has water damage for a watch that never comes into contact with water. At most I quickly rinse it off after my exercise routine and have never swam with it. How does a watch that is supposed to be waterproof IP68 5ATM, that has barely come into contact with water have water damage. From asking around I'm told most these repair centres say that cause they either to lazy to repair the watches or don't know how to, so they simply say water damage to get the board replaced and make more money. I contacted Samsung SA to complain about this, and they are confirming that they will be cancelling my warranty and I must pay about R6000 for the repairs which is about the cost of a new watch. So it's false advertising and against the Consumer Protection Act for them to rate their product as waterproof to an IP68 5ATM rating (which would mean I would have to go 50 metres under water for 30min to damage it) then cancel their warranty when their product is defective and doesn't live up to the required standard.
