Warranty Problem

I bought a Samsung washing m/c 8 months ago.The inlet water hose burst this week,filling our kitchen cupboards with water.The customer service representative told me that the hose was only guaranteed for 6 months as it was an \accessory".So I asked why is there a 2year warranty on the machine if the hose is only expected to last 6 months? Anyway"
