Very poor device quality Samsung
I purchased a Samsung smart watch gear s3 frontier in January 2017 and was very impressed and happy with the device. I'm not someone who can normally afford such expensive equipment so as result I look after it very very well. About a week ago it developed a fault where the wake up gesture stopped working and well as the heart rate monitor and the pedometer. After a few days trying to trouble shoot the problem myself without any luck I took the watch to an authorized Samsung repairer. Without even booking the watch in I was told that it would cost R4000+ to repair the watch and since I bought it for R5500+ it wouldn't be worth the cost to repair. I even asked the consultant if this was as result of anything I did and he said it doent look like it, he said he could see that the watch was looked after well and that he hadn't seen one fail this way this far out of warranty. These watches come with a 12 month warranty and of course it fails at month 16. So my question is this R5700 for a watch that only works for 16 months? Then costs an additional R4000 to fix and the problem was not caused by me? Is that what you are telling me Samsung?
