Unhelpful person at call centre

I have had my Samsung Galaxy S6 for about 9 months now. The battery life has gotten extremely bad and the phone randomly heats up frequently. I phoned the Samsung SA call centre this morning and spoke to Tumi Ngobese, Ref ********** 468 who told me that I must go to the nearest Samsung service centre. I explained that I live in Newcastle and the nearest service centres are hours away but he was adamant that that was the only solution to the problem. He was extremely unhelpful and this is not at all what I am used to from Samsung. I had an S4 a couple of years ago and the battery bloated and wasn’t working properly within a few months of purchase. I called Samsung and without any drama whatsoever they couriered me a new battery and I sent the bloated one back. The S6 can’t be opened at home to take the battery out so I understand that I will have to send it in, but to expect me to spend hours on the road and hundreds of rands in petrol to take it to a service centre when the phone was couriered to me in Newcastle is crazy when the fault is the Samsung battery which is still under warranty. Tumi also told me his supervisor was on lunch when I asked to speak to them, this was at 11:10 in the morning. At that time of the day? And how can you have no supervisor available for when someone is unhelpful and unable to resolve an issue?
