unhappy customer

Good day

Please can someone assist me with regards to this matter?

I purchased a Samsung A03s mobile phone in February this year at a Pep cell store at Gateway Theatre of Shopping Mall. After months of use this phone, I noticed that the phone was beginning to warp. I took it to the store for them to have a look and advise further. They was unable to help due to that I didn't have my receipt. I then emailed Pep Cell customer care stating my complaint. They rep**** saying that the store manager will contact me to discuss this matter. The store manager did contact and asked to me to bring the phone in and they will send it to the repair center for assessment. The service center technician contacted me on 2 November saying that I would need to pay R4000 to have my phone repaired due to it being physically damaged. I said to him to explain how this is physically damaged, he said that I could have bent or sat on it. I said to him that this is impossible and I'm not will to pay R4000 for a phone that I purchased at R2500. I said to him that I will take the matter further. He gave me the no for Samsung customer service. I made the call and the agent was just as surprised as to how this phone would have bent to that extent and also how would the repair center repair a bent phone. She said that she would escalate the matter to voc and they will contact me. Voc did contact me today saying that they will not have this phone repaired under warranty because of the assessment report from the technician. A few minutes later the technician contacted me asking me what was my decision on repairing the phone. I said to him there is no way that I'm paying for any repairs on this phone cos there is no way that I could have physically damaged it. He goes on to say what should he do with the phone, I said to him he that he can send it back to the store. He said he can do that after I pay an assessment fee of R300 or R350. I said to him that I'm not paying any fees and that I will make contact with Hello Peter. He says that's fine I must do so. That's is the reason for my writing to you.

I will greatly appreciate your assistance in this matter

Kind regards Fayez Mahomed
