Tv compaint and warranty
Good day,
I am writing this email as a very dissatisfied customer.
Last year, I purchased a 40” Samsung TV from OK Furniture in Greenacres. Within six months, the TV began experiencing issues with switching on. I returned it to OK Furniture (this was three months ago), and it was sent to your branch in Newton Park for repairs. After it was fixed, I took the TV back home.
However, a few weeks ago, the same issue occurred again—the TV would not switch on. I was extremely upset and returned it once more to OK Furniture. Last week, I received a report stating that the TV was damaged by ****roaches, and that this was apparently also the cause of the first issue. I was told that if I want it repaired, I would need to pay R1,900.
My concern is: why was I not informed of any ****roach damage when I brought the TV in the first time? Why was there no report or feedback then? Why am I now being asked to pay for repairs on a TV that is still under warranty?
I am requesting proof of the supposed ****roach damage from both the first and most recent repair assessments. It is unacceptable to only provide feedback when it suits the service provider—especially when the intention seems to be avoiding responsibility for warranty coverage. I am deeply disappointed in Samsung’s handling of this matter. I have had this TV for less than a year.
I look forward to your urgent response and resolution of this issue.
Kind regards,
Themba Soldaat
