Total void of warranty for any cosmetic damage?

I have a 6 month old Samsung S6, over the last few weeks the camera has stopped focusing automatically. After taking the phone in to Samsung Century City this morning I was informed that any cosmetic damage voids your warranty. So basically because my phone has a scratch the size of a pin head on it, I will have to pay for the camera to be repaired. I would love to know how Samsung makes this leap of logic, which considering nearly every phone out there has some sort of scratch or knick, must work out terribly well them.<br> Just another company sticking it to their clients and hiding behind blanket policy without thought for fairness or service.
