There is still customer service in South Africa albeit few and far between

After purchasing a smart TV a few months back, the unit seemed defective after numerous returns to the place of purchase for attention and repairs. Despite the best efforts by Stax Dunkeld to assist, their technician suggested contacting the Samsung Call Centre directly. This I duly did and spent a long time on the phone dealing with Mbali Tshabalala, who tried everything she could to assist from re-booting, downloading updated software, remote control checking, you name it she tried it. A couple of time the call disconnected and on phoning back was not met with the same pleasantries from other Staff as Mbali had become busy, or not available, it was either tea time or closing time and attitudes left a lot to be desired. Mbali proceeded to assist once again the next day and eventually requested a technical person to come to my home to assist and duly appointed one. The response from that company was shocking from lying about the problem with the television right down to the part being ordered when they had not even seen the unit or ascertained what the problem was. At 4:45 on a Friday afternoon I contacted the call centre again eventually went through to Nadeem Saalie, who patiently listened to my rant and endeavoured to solve the problem, to which he eventually did. The next morning, and despite it being a Saturday, whatever Nadeem undertook to do happened, a technician came out, agreed the television was defective and recommended a replacement. Nadeem followed up with this the next week on at least 3 or 4 occasions and the television has been replaced and delivered to my home. I dealt with many people at Samsung concerning this issue, and I must commend Mbali and Nadeem for the manner in which they handled an extremely irate customer and they showed that service does still exist. Samsung, these two staff members are a credit to your organization and I hope others will be shown what a fine example of professionalism Mbali and Nadeem exude I did phone them both personally to express my thanks, but this platform will also show that on a wider scale.
