Terrible service repairing S7 edge

I brought in my S7 edge to be repaired, as the phone bricked itself immediately after installing the latest Samsung system update. After trying to get some feedback after a week of e-mails and calls, Samsung said that the entire motherboard needs to be replaced and that my 2 year warranty is void due to a hairline fracture on the screen.

I find this unacceptable given that a system update bricked the phone, and the phone was 100% operational prior to installing this update. The quote for the motherboard replacement amounts to R4000 which should still be in my 2 year warranty. I have been a fan of Samsung for many years but the amount of frustration from dealing with the repair center has made me seriously consider never purchasing another Samsung product again!

I still haven't had anyone contacting me about a solution, in over a week I have just received a single generic SMS.
