Stunned, disappointed & unbelievable

Booked my phone in at Tygervalley Samsung. I asked the lady there About the dents on my phone and she told me that i don't even have to worry about it as my phone is 1 year and 7 months old and its minor enough to book it under warranty. i presented a proof of purchase when i booked the phone. 14 days later i received a email with a quote of approx R2000 to fix my phone from Smart Care Century City. I phone them and asked what the reason is for them not fixing my phone. The Lady told me that my warranty expired then i asked her how its possible as i had the phone for 1 year and 7 months. She then told me that i only have a 12 month warranty on the device. i then went on the website, took a screenshot of the 24 month warranty part and mailed it to them. I phoned them again and asked them if they check the email and then she handed the phone to her manager and she told me that my warranty still exceeded the 24 month period with 7 months according her system. i submitted a proof of purchase when i booked the phone and correct her on that and the warranty state 24 month since the day of purchase. When that didn't work she jumped to the damage on the phone and that the warranty no longer valid.

To me i looks like they were looking for a reason not to fix my phone and then used the damage as a last resort when the first 2 excuses didn't work

i submitted a complaint to samsung za services on Thursday. Monday came and still no responce. i mailed them again and stated that no one contacted me. eventually i got a call from them at 14h56 the monday.

They asked me what it was about and i explained to her from the start, i was then told, but go read your book, your warranty stated that any damage (Minor dent/scratch) on the corner of the phone and the warranty would be cancelled. The more i tried to explain to her that its not about the phone or the warranty but the way they tried to get out of it, she told me that the warranty expired due to the damage.

Be straight to your customers from the beginning ALL my stuff in my house is Samsung. (TV, Home Theater, and i'm on my 4th Samsung Phone already) I told her that it would no longer buy any Samsung product ever again and her response was shocking. I'm so sorry to hear that. Enjoy your day sir.

That's exactly why i'm not gonna buy any Samsung product again. Is that how you treat all your Samsung customers?? Thanks and Cheers.
