Stay away from S7 Edge and Samsung

I bought an S7 Edge in June 2016 and suddenly in February 2017, the phone suddenly started showing black lines across the screen which won't go away. After researching this online, it appears to be a manufacturing fault which has arisen. Typically owners would go to a Samsung Customer Care Centre and the screen would be replaced and the owner would carry on. In my case, when I went to the Samsung Customer Care Centre (Sandton - MM All Electronics), the staff claimed that a small dent (unrelated to the screen) on my phone caused the damage (even though this happened months prior and has never resulted in any discolouration). Upon disputing this, my claim was supposedly escalated to Samsung Head Office, with photos of both the screen issue and claimed damage. A month later, no feedback has been provided, with Samsung clearly comfortable to simply ignore this issue. After returning to the Samsung Customer Care Centre, requesting an update, they confirmed that no feedback had been received and were extremely reluctant to help me any further. The complete lack of feedback and silence received from Samsung has been shocking, considering the phone in question is just over 6 months old and is their top of the line phone, yet it breaks down and Samsung are unwilling to assist. In addition, I have reported this issue using the "tell us" customer care line, however I am also yet to receive any feedback and have been shocked by Samsung's lack of engagement and willingness to assist in resolving this problem. I will definitely think twice about getting another Samsung phone in future after this experience.

Reviewer Update

Just an update on this, this query remains outstanding and Samsung have yet to adequately address this issue. The shocking level of services continues; clearly Samsung does not care about its customers.
