Software update burned out my phone
I didn't think this would be possible, but i have lost two Samsung phones (S3 and S2 note) due to the software of the mobile being unable to update correctly. This led to both phones not being able to switch on and anything else that may indicate that the cell phone is working. I take good care of my electronics because I can't afford to buy a new R12000 phone every two years.
Paying for repairs that were due to my own negligence is perfectly fine because I am in the wrong, but having to buy another cell phone when I don't have the funds for it because in internal ( or programmed ) fault then I find that completely unfair. I have had patience with my Samsung since it was one of the first Androids on the market and had experienced poor mobile service. This did improve over a few months' time and I loved my phone and took good care of it.
Finding out that I need to pay R3000 to repair my phone due to a burn out caused by a software update is completely unacceptable. I chose Samsung over Apple because I trust Samsung more, but it seems that might change in a while. I like Samsung more since it is much more user friendly, but it seems that the phones have a too short life span.
