Shocking service from Samsung who have ****** my watch
I purchased a Samsung S3 Frontier watch from the Samsung Store in Eastgate in December 2017, where I specifically stated to the sales person that I want it to record my cycling heart rate, times etc. The watch had a 2 year warranty. In January 2018, I returned the watch to the store as it didn’t record any information regarding my cycling, and was told to take the watch to SSS Cellular in Boksburg to look at. A few days later, I was called to collect the watch, but it still did not work. I returned the watch back to the Eastgate store a couple more times, and in March 2018, Samsung agreed to give me a replacement watch. The new watch still did not record my cycling events, but by this stage, I was so tired of dealing with the issue, that I left it till January 2019, as it has a 2 year warranty. On the 26th of January 2019, I took the watch back to the Samsung Eastgate store, and said that the watch does not do what it should, and my preference was to be refunded as I was so disappointed with the product and the appalling service I had had from Samsung. I also tried calling head office in Bryanstan to attempt to speak to a senior person, but one can never get past their call Centre agents.
In early February, after many follow up calls by myself, and not a single call from Samsung Eastgate, I was told that the software had been upgraded, and I could collect the watch, which I did. Alas, the watch still did not record my cycling events. On the 7th of February 2019, I once again returned the watch to Samsung Eastgate. To date I have not had any phone call from them as to the status of my watch. About 3 weeks ago, I went into the store, only to be told that the store had gone into liquidation, and my watch was missing. The new owners gave me the telephone number of the business rescues practitioner, whom I phoned, who confirmed that there was no watch at the store when he did the final stock take. I then tried to call head office again, and after much frustration, was put through to a lady by the name of Gomo in the VOC department, who has intermittently phoned me with feedback, which is pretty much the same, basically saying that it is not Samsung’s problem. Yesterday afternoon, she called me to say that Samsung state that I need to report my watch as ****** by Samsung Eastgate before they can do anything. I rep**** that I have been messed around for long enough, and do not believe that I should have to report it ******, and at Samsung should take responsibility for there own actions and shocking service. Gomo promised that either herself, or a more senior person at Samsung would call me today, which of course never happened.
