Service repair of screen - Absolute Fail!

I've delivered a friend's phone to the Samsung store in the Grove shoppping centre yesterday.

The phone was purchased via contract with Vodacom last year May.

The phone fell in April this year and wanted to get it fix at Samsung as the one year warranty hasn't lasped.

Only to be told by Staff no this phone expiry was actually in February this year, not sure if I understand the maths or calculation as the staff working on the phone had all the papers right in front of them. Imei number and record from Vodacom indicating when the phone was purchased!

Also the phone had other damages but the friend was only interested in getting the screen fix as the phone is functioning 100% and to get the phone fixed as quoted will then cost R6000 inclusive of the screen. This is pathetic service no option was provided only to say you can get it fix and we need to check the warranty, really. In this day and age you cannot come up with better solutions. Pathetic!!!!

Also in general the manager at this branch needs serious assistance on how to deal with staff and customers, there is a significant problem here and Samsung you are not doing you any favours with this type of staff treatment nor assitance and arrogant manager. It is sad to see an adult man yelling (the manager) at an elderly person and thinking to take his frustrations out on a customer and staff is appropriate, deal with the people representing your brand.
