Seized warranty

I purchased a Samsung Galaxy S24 in April 2024, which functioned without issue until a manufacturer-issued software update in late 2024. Immediately after the update, the device began displaying a “Camera Failed” error. Troubleshooting through Samsung Members did not resolve the issue, and I was referred to an authorized service center. At the service center, my warranty was voided due to a small, unrelated cosmetic chip on the device. Samsung concluded that the 50MP and 12MP cameras were non-functional due to alleged physical damage and required paid repairs. I disputed this finding, as the camera hardware continues to function through alternative access methods and the issue arose only after the software update. The matter was escalated to Samsung’s VOC department, which declined further assistance solely due to the cosmetic damage. I contend that the defect is software-related and that warranty coverage was unreasonably denied for an issue unrelated to the alleged physical damage
