Screen protector get a chip and hair line crack just like that!

My husband bought me a Samsung s10 for my birthday in April. He then took me to the store to choose a cover as it was part of the initial purchase, the sales person said that the screens are extremely expensive to replace and that I must buy a screen protector which was R600!!! Crazy I know, nevertheless because the phone is expensive, I agreed to purchase the screen protector. On Sunday 12 May we were in the car and I was using my phone and the screen protector chipped and a hair line crack started developing! I was shocked and showed everyone the phone immediately. Of course you are going to question me and ask me if I dropped the phone etc , No I did not. The phone is expensive and I take care of it! I am so disappointed with the quality of this product. The reason I did not attempt contacting the Clearwater branch is because they are not helpful.
