SAMSUNG Washing Machine: 12KG VRT plus Fully Automatic Front Loader Digital Inverter

My previous washing machine (LG) packed up after 8 years of faithful service. I, in UTMOST GOOD FAITH, decided to purchase a TOP OF THE RANGE SAMSUNG Fully Automatic Washing Machine (front loader) at the exorbitant price of R15 249,99, on 23 March 2016, from HIRSCH'S at Silverlakes, Pretoria East, expecting to get at the very least, more than 5 years of trouble free service from the machine. unfortunately, by 1 October 2018 the motherboard failed and had to be replaced. Thankfully I had bought an extended warranty for an extra R1000. Towards the end of 2020(and now out of warranty) the Drum bearings started failing and I had to replace the entire inner & outer drum at a cost of R4779 on 25 February 2021. On Monday 10 May 2021, mid-cycle, the machine stopped working and was dead as a doornail. The SAMSUNG accredited repairman came out and confirmed that the motherboard had once again given in. I am extremely disappointed in SAMSUNG who have clearly produced a grossly inferior and cheapskate product at a premium price under the guise of a top of the range washing machine that turned out to be mechanically inferior and has cost me a fortune thus far. I will therefore NEVER again trust the SAMSUNG brand.
