Samsung Warranty a ****

I bought a R20 000 fridge about 4years ago with the 10 year Samsung warranty and out of a blue the fridge just stopped working. No power surge or overload. Called Samsung and they sent an assessor and they needed me to pay call out fee with no report of what the matter is. I called Bergen’s appliance repairs and the come took the fridge and did an assessment and sent me a report which found that the part in fault is one under warranty. They didn’t even charge me for assessment and returned my fridge and said speak to Samsung to fix the warranty fault. Samsung has not honored their part. I requested them to send me this rejection in writing on the first week of November 2023 and to date I still await that email from them. I want to take the matter to the Ombudsman but I needed the matter written down because you cannot give a 10yr warranty for a part that you do not plan to honor. It’s day light *******. We work very hard for our money to be ****** by the already rich white capitalist systems. At least honor your warranties after raking in millions and billions in profits.

It’s been months, I even requested the team leader of the Lady who last handled this matter (I forgot her name) to call me and explain why I had not received any email with the rejection of my matter but to date I have not received feedback. I don’t think you must respond privately, put it publicly so that whoever reads my complaint here can see it please.

It is only fair that potential buyers and current owners know what lies ahead just in case their unit stops working still under warranty.

Thank you.
