Samsung update RUINS my phone

For all these years I have enjoyed Samsung Mobile phones. After doing a phone update my phone is stuffed. I am so disappointed because it was working perfectly. Apps stopped working, my phone sometimes rings but there is nothing on screen. What a disappointment. I guess I'll have to go with the I-phone
