Samsung TVs switch on/off and cannot be repaired.
I have 2 Samsung TVs which I bought 3 and 6 years ago. They both have a problem of switching on and off all the time on their own. I tried logging a call with Samsung for weeks with no luck. Their after service is the worst I have ever seen. Eventually the call was forwarded to the so called repair partner. They charged me R600 for a callout fee, looked at the TVs and did not know how to fix the TVs. TVs not working and my R600 gone. I googled and found out this switching on and off problem is very common with Samsung TVs and they cannot fix the problem, you just have to buy a new TV. My R29000 down the drain. I will never buy a Samsung TV again.

01 Aug 2025, 21:03Samsung is just hopeless! They called me and apologised, the usual PR stuff! They got their repairer to quote me for repairs, to my shock, the quote is R29453,48. That is double the price of the same tv brand new at today’s price. Samsung is a joke!
