SAMSUNG TOOK OVER R41,000, DELIVERED ONLY 5 OF 24 PHONES, AND HAS STILL NOT REFUNDED ME

On 28 September 2026, I ordered 24 Samsung phones for over R41,000. Before placing the order, I repeatedly confirmed with Samsung that the phones were in stock. I was assured they were available, including confirmation after the consultant checked with the logistics manager. Delivery was promised for 30 September.

Samsung failed to deliver on time. On 5 October, after further assurances that the delivery was on its way, only 5 of the 24 phones arrived. I was later told Samsung did not have the stock it had promised.

This failure has caused me serious financial harm. My own customer was relying on these phones. I had to source replacements at a much higher cost, but by then it was too late and the customer rejected the order. I lost the customer and expected profit, incurred penalties, and had to spend additional money trying to resolve a problem caused by Samsung.

I requested a refund and supplied the required details. Samsung then promised the refund for 16 October, but it never arrived. Today, 19 October, I was told I must wait another 7–10 working days. After repeated calls, *** and broken promises, this is unacceptable.

I demand the immediate processing of my outstanding refund, a written explanation, and a fair discussion about compensation for my documented financial losses. Samsung's repeated assurances about stock and delivery raise serious concerns about its obligations under the Consumer Protection Act, where applicable.

I have retained the relevant *** and call records. I expect Samsung to take responsibility and resolve this matter urgently, rather than subject me to further delays and excuses.

Samsung, this matter has been “escalated” repeatedly since 30 September, yet here we are, weeks later, with no resolution only more escalations and requests to wait for feedback. It is concerning that I am being made to feel unreasonable for asking for an update when Samsung had no hesitation in taking over R41,000 from my account immediately, based on assurances that the phones were in stock and available for delivery. Since then, I have been given repeated promises, received only 5 of the 24 phones ordered, and been left to deal with the financial consequences of Samsung’s failure. I have lost a customer, lost expected profit, incurred additional costs and faced penalties, while Samsung continues to hold my money and tells me to wait. While Samsung retains my funds, I am the one carrying the financial burden of this situation. I cannot understand how taking payment was immediate, but resolving the failure to deliver and refunding me has become an endless process of escalations. Please stop giving me generic responses about escalation and provide a concrete resolution date for my outstanding refund, together with a meaningful response regarding compensation for the losses I have suffered. I have been patient and cooperative throughout this process. That patience should not be mistaken for acceptance of these delays. I expect accountability and action, not another instruction to wait for feedback.
