Samsung takes no repsonsibility

I purchased a Samsung 55" from Hirsch's Upon opening the box and installing the TV, the installer discovered a large internal crack The crack is only visible when you power up the unit I contacted Hirsch's who told me they would check their camera footage to establish whether protocol was followed I am awaiting this reponse which I will update here Samsung then contacted me and arranged for a technician to come out and inspect the tv This never happened as I received a second call from Samsung saying that physical damage would not be covered by the warranty and that I should rather refer back to Hirsch's if I was claiming box failure I mentioned that I had seen a lot of problems on the internet with Samsung and internal cracks The caller said it could be someone had punched the tv I was so insulted I told them to go to hell This company must be going down bad What a pity as I believe the product to be a very good one There are clearly quality control and / or logistics problems and Samsung should take ownership of this rather than treating their customers like hooligans and / or ********* We all have the choice in life to either do the right thing or to do the wrong thing

Samsung contacted me to suggest all the possible people who might be responsible other than themselves They did not offer to inspect the TV or assist in any way The TV is still in its original cardboard and cellophane wrapping and has no signs of external damage whatsoever When powering it on there is a large internal crack running across the left of the screen. Surely someone needs to actually inspect the TV, track its history, assess the damage and the likely cost to repair / replace. I understand businesses need to follow some form of protocol to protect themselves but I cannot see that any protocol other than “finger-pointing” is being followed and I feel exploited. Shocking customer service division. Not even a good day, we are sorry to here about your experience, how can we assist Samsung please do not telephone me again it is bad for my health
