Samsung ****** my phone?

My Samsung S7 Edge was handed in for repair to Samsung Waterfront (Cape Town). Quote for repair provided, and payment made to Samsung Unitronics for R5 179.48 on 1 Feb 2018. Little to no feedback after 7 weeks after attempts via phone and email.

I am out of pocket for R5 179.48 plus the loss of my phone and and wondering if the only next step is to contact the police and open a *****/theft case.
