Samsung service sucks

I bought a Samsung double door fridge and freezer in March 2014. I noticed that the paint at the bottom of the fridge was bubbling, so I pushed on it and the paint fell off revealing rust. I have been going backwards and forwards between their service provider (Liptronics) and Samsung’s head office for over a month. In the beginning they did not want to help me because the 2 year guarantee was up. I then went to the store where I bought the fridge and they liaised with Samsung and eventually I s****ed to get assistance. They came back to me and said they cannot repair it and I must pay a depreciation value of R3509.00 and then they replace the fridge. I just feel that a fridge should last you almost a life time. I paid a lot of money for this fridge and it should not rust within two years. It should not rust at all especially when the fridge is indoors. I bought a Samsung dishwasher, washing machine and television and I’m happy with them. I was dealing with Karabo Molefe who is an executive at Samsung and I don’t think she deserves her position there, because if I was an executive of Samsung that makes billions of rands a year I would not want an inferior Samsung product out there in the public. I feel they should replace it free of charge.

SHAME ON YOU SAMSUNG!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Samsung came back to me stating the only way forward is if i pay the depreciation value they will replace the fridge. The person who came back to me also had the ordacity to tell me the fridge has rusted because i have used harsh chemicals on it to clean it. I feel that they are admitting they are at fault by saying they will replace the fridge if i pay the depreciation money. I also feel if it was not their fault they would not be willing to replace it. I have attached the mail below I recieved for Samsung. From: Sthembiso Kunene [mailto:***] Sent: Monday, May 16, 2016 2:13 PM To: Renier Rademeyer (R) Subject: Re: RE: Samsung Hello Peter complaint *** Good Day The damages on your fridge are cosmetic. Meaning that even I it was in warranty you will be quoted for the repairs. The damages on your unit is due to harsh chemicals used to clean the fridge. I'm deeply disappointed in Samsung service and the people they employ to deal with quality issues. It looks like i will have to go the legal route now.
