Samsung S9+ R500 Voucher

This review is related to both Samsung and MTN.

I upgraded my cell phone contract on the 02.06.2018. I upgraded to the S9 +. The lady in store advised me that I should go to the Samsung store to redeem the R500 voucher as they only had covers that were around R1000.

I went to Samsung in East Gate mall and the salesman took one look at the voucher in my hand and said that Samsung is not part of this promotion as this is an MTN deal I must go to MTN.

Went to MTN and the salesman said that Samsung removed all the stock in their branch (East Gate Mall) and only left the covers so that people can only buy the covers.

Went to the MTN in Sandton city, the store had other Samsung accessories but the manager said the voucher is only redeemable on the covers.

Called MTN(135) and the lady confirmed that the voucher is for all Samsung accessories. When I told her what the manager said she changed her story to, "it depends on the store manager and what he wants to sell". The manager at the Sandton MTN told me that they can't give away "Things "for free, so that is why it is only for the charger.

Samsung stop ripping the South African market, unfortunately for you some of us are literate individuals who can identify when we are being mislead and being taken for a ride.

If the voucher is only for covers then say that but don't change the rules as you please.
