Samsung S7 False advertising

I have a Samsung S7, which I have been using for sometime and the perception I had was that the phone can last up to 30 minutes in a pool which is less than 1.5 M deep but that was not the case. I used my phone in the pool which is less than 1.5M deep for less than 5 minutes after that it started freezing and just died without warning. When I took it to one of the Samsung repair stores I was told the phone is going to lose warranty because it had liquid problems. So how does a phone that is supposed to be water resistant gets to loose warranty when it gets water damaged under water? I feel that you are busy false advertising your products. Today I went to the Samsung repair store for the repairs and the quote they gave me was even more shocking, please see attachment for the quote.I use to consider Samsung one of the reliable phones out there as I have been using for the past 5 to 6 years but now I am even scared to recommend to friends and relatives based on the experience I just had.Please advise as to what I have to do as I went in the swimming pool with the phone based on the information provided on your website which states" The Galaxy S7 and S7 edge go everywhere you go. In the rain, the shower, or the pool. Up to 30 minutes or 1.5 meters under. We've also worked out how to completely seal off the inside components while keeping micro USB ports, earphone jacks open, so you won't have to fiddle with extra caps or covers."The worst part is I bought the phone thinking of the pictures I will be taking in my holiday, now I am going on holiday without a phone.
