SAMSUNG S7 EDGE NOT SO GREAT PHONE AFTER ALL

Upgrade to the new S7 edge at MTN on 03/01/2017 just after 4pm. When I got home there was a defect on the screen in the left bottom corner. Almost look like a ink spill. So I have retured it to the MTN store the very next morning. Infact I was waiting infron of their doors to open. The phone was back in MTN's hand withing 24 hours. So in my opinion based on the CPA the phone was supposedto be replace as I was well within th 7 days cool off period. But no they claiming the phone first needs to be assessed because they cant see if I cracked the screen on the inside even though the store manager's words was that the phone is in a mint condition with no signs of physical damage from my side. Its been more than a week now from the time I handed the phone back and yet still nothing. Guess this should be kept in mind before buying a samsung again. Still joked around wih a collage who has the iphone 7 and told him my phone is going to be way better that his.... Guess I was wrong. Perhaps iphone is the way to go if you are looking for a decent phone

Real doubts in the S7 edge. We got 3 S7 edge phones on the day we upgraded. One had a direct defect on the screen as mentioned above. Its been 11 days since I have returned it and yet still nothing. Still without a phone. One of the other phones keeps on freezing and stay freezed until force shutdown. Then to put the cherry on the cake the phone was on charge with no open apps and no one working on it. The phone got so hot that you couldn't even hold the phone in your hand as it was actually burning your hand. Is this yet another repeat of the note 7 or what? We cant afford to take the phone back to MTN because they will simply tell us that the phone needs to be sent away like the first one and that is out of the question as that person cant do his work without a phone and there is no spare phone for in the mean time. I mean you pay so much more to have a phone that you can rely on and that are ment to be top of the market but after two of the same phones and both with different problems I can't help but loosing interest in Samsung and that after about over 8 years of only using Samsung. Real disappointment!

And all that Samsung can say is not there problem. Maybe not in so much words but just keeps on saying terms and conditions and thats all. Is this then the final proof that Iphone is infact better than Samsung. We took 3 Samsungs S7 edge phones of which two has problems... Coincidence? I doubt it. You would think that based on the fact that two of the so called top of the market phones is giving problems they would actually make the effort to rectify. The one phone is already being replaced. The other keeps on freezing and gets so hot that burns your hand when touching it. With this phone we cannot afford to take it back to MTN because they take forever with assessment as seen with the one phone and we cannot afford to be without that phone for that long as the phone is needed to carry on with business. It is also not possible to take it to the closest service centre because they are nearly 100km away from us and working 7 days a week we wont even be able to get to them before they close. One would think that Samsung would actually for once take active steps to ensure the satisfaction of their customers. Dont tell me Samsung cant make some sort of arrange to sort a problem like this out? I mean after we had to wait nearly 2 weeks due to a manufacturing defect on the one phone I would say it would be the least Samsung can do is to have the second phone sorted out in the shortest time possible. One is in the first not supposed to encounter such problem from a top of the range phone. Do you really want to tell me as a leading brand Samsung cant do anything to rectify their phones faults? Or is this now simply a case where Samsung only cares about a customer until they have left the store with the phone and there after Samsung doesn't care any further? I am looking foward to your response. Feel free to email me on **********
