Samsung S6 costing R16,000 still unusable
I recently bought a new Samsung S6 tablet and have had problems with the keyboard cover that comes with the tablet. The back cover does not stick and keeps detaching causing the tablet to fall. I can no longer use the tablet with the keyboard as on a number of occasions it almost fell on the floor and broke. My first stop was the Samsung office in Bryanston where there used to be a service centre. I was advised that it had closed and had now moved to Dion Wired in Nicolway. I then went there and the people in the service centre had no clue about the tablet and no understanding of what the problem was. There response was to send the entire unit to Samsung to fix 'the tablet'. I said multiple times that is not the tablet and just the cover but they said they didnt know what to do. Another stop was to Vodacom where I bought the unit cash (none of the stores had it as it was new to the market which is why I bought it there) The technical lady at Vodacom was incredible and understood what the problem was. She sat on the phone for over an hour trying to work out how the unit could be booked in and what locations and reference numbers we could use. The person on the other end of the phone also wasn't clear on what we were talking about and once again said it is the tablet. The instructions they gave her was to go to a Wefix as they were only ones who had spares for Samsung and could assist. Yet again I headed off in the vain hope that this would finally be sorted out. When I went to Wefix they were very confused as they do not deal with new units and did know about the S6. The unit was bought on the 30th of October and I have not been able to use it. At a cost of over R16,000.00 (!!!!) This is unacceptable
