Samsung S5 Screen Repair.

To whom it may concern,

Samsung S5 imei number: *** was given in for repair under warranty at Vodacom Chat 2 Us Cellular Fleurdal, Bloemfontein – ********** 771 , The phone originally went in for a “lens/glass” that was lifting in the left hand corner, phone was sent away to unknown repair centre by them, came back with a different colour lens and an intermediate vertical green line that would display on 2 places on lcd (not at the same time), even when battery was removed and put back line would stay.

I then again went in and sent away the phone threw Chat 2 us, it came back with new lens, back cover and charging port cover. But green line problem was still intermediate and at exactly the same places the two lines where.

Phone went in for 3d time, Monday 23 May and was collected on Monday 30 of May, phone has no visible change to it this time, but the problem still persists. I was informed that phone was tested and that no lines were detected and that it may have been a so called virus on clients memory card, phone was used first day without memory card with 2 different Vodacom sim cards (Just to rule out faulty sim card/ phone has also been factory reset on all 3 occasions) and problem came back same day phone was collected. 1 green line.

I have now requested reports from the shop as to where and when phone was fixed but have gotten no response as to yet. Will send them If I receive them. The contact person at shop to speak to is Hendrik.

I then sent the phone in to Gerrit at Office automation Bloemfontein - ********** 098 (Official Samsung Repair Centre) who confirms Chat2Us was at fault and that a "wrong part was used ect", he then motivates the case with samsung and yet again a screen is replaced or I think they replaced it, This was the first week of June , since then the Phone worked for 3 weeks and screen went black , phone was taken to Gerrit again, but this time I get told its not under warranty anymore, but he will try his best to help. Today after phoning about 6 to 8 times the past 3 months I get a quote for R 2699.00 to repair the phone. I have had no joy using this phone is there anything anyone could help me with. I did not abuse the phone and never did it have any scratched or cracks on screen.

Phone was used each time with a tempered glass ( Cost of R 150.00 EACH TIME) screen protector and an original Samsung cover.

Please if you could help me resolve this problem I would appreciate it, I have been without this phone now for more than enough time.

Kind regards

Duane Erasmus
