SAMSUNG S5 MINI HAS LATENT DEFECTS.
After handing this junk into the repair centre at Eastgate 6 times this year, I have just been informed that they(Samsung) find no problem with the phone! Do they honestly think I would bring it in 6 times in 7 months, if there was no problem! I think they dont want to see the problem, or they are unable/unqualified to fix the problem.
Vodacom Repair Centre are well aware of the locking and lack of signal problems being experienced with the S5 Mini, and their service records attest to this fact. Just do a search on Hello Peter for problems with S5 Mini, and you will be horrified! Dont buy this phone before doing a search of this site.....
I placed my original report on HelloPeter on 16thJuly, and was promptly informed by Samsung that someone will contact me(their standard call centre resp[onse!). 11 days later, I have yet to be contacted.
This is a classic example of a brand that initially offered a fair product at a fair price, until they became established and one of the market leaders, then they promptly forgot who put them in that position! The higher you are, the harder you hit the ground....
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
Our way forward regarding this complaint would be if we get one of our service centre technicians to have a look at your unit and advise on what is the issue and if theres one we will then investigate in terms of why did the guys at vodacom not pick this up.
We will need to have your jobcards from the vodacom so that we can check with them and advise.
Once again we will like to apologise for the inconvenience caused.
