Samsung S23 screen replacement nightmare

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the shockingly poor service and lack of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) that control pricing, as experienced with Samsung South Africa. I have recently been informed that I must shop around for the best price from their authorized repair centres and accept these prices, regardless of their excessive nature. This renders my phone practically disposable, as it is not economically viable to repair.

To provide some context, I own a Samsung Galaxy S23, which recently suffered screen damage after falling from a height of approximately 50cm and landing on its left corner. The phone was encased in a Body Glove case, and the screen was not directly impacted. Despite this, the screen shattered, indicating poor quality of the material used.

When I sought a repair, I was quoted a replacement screen cost of R7500, which is 44% of the cost of a new phone. This is unjustifiable, especially considering the apparent poor quality of the screen that shattered so easily. Additionally, the rationale provided by Samsung South Africa – that authorized repair centers need to pay salaries – does not justify such exorbitant costs to the consumer.

It is clear that Samsung South Africa, and possibly the parent company as well, care little for their customers. The attitude of "take it or leave it" is not acceptable and does not align with the standards expected of a reputable company. As a loyal customer, I feel let down and exploited by these practices.

And here folks is the joke. Every reply that you see from Samsung South Africa is identical. A copy and paste.
No, they don't assist you, that would mean that Samsung cares about customer service, which they certainly don't.
Their NPS (Net Promoter Score) is disgusting. Rock bottom, showing a complete lack of customer service. Having conducted surveys for a multinational, it is rare to have such a poor score, unless you are a government department or municipality. Their management commitment to their customers is in the toilet, without water. It stinks. In general, customers must be disgusted with Samsung management and their staff.
