Samsung Rewards - Ripping of loyal customers

Ever since I discovered Samsung rewards I have been saving up points and getting ready to burn them on something I really needed. Now Samsung rewards are closing down soon and for a very long time now there haven't been anything worthwhile to burn my points on. I have been checking daily and have accumulated quite a bit of points almost 1.2mil what the fridge freezer was for in the beginning.

Extremely sad to see my points go to waste, hope good items are added soon...

And they call this resolved hard luck we big enough to not care about your points we are closing it down you may enter for a competition otherwise just loose your points full stop. Dear ******X Impending changes The Samsung Rewards service has been going through some challenges in the recent past. There’s a duplication of services between Samsung South Africa (local services) and Samsung HQ (Global services). South Africa has its own Rewards platform and HQ has a separate global Rewards platform. Management has taken a decision to consolidate Samsung services and this calls for the shutdown of the South African Samsung Rewards platform in anticipation of the global Samsung Rewards platform launch in South Africa (dates not yet confirmed). Points burning opportunities The Samsung Rewards team is planning to provide burn opportunities through a competition with multiple prizes (and winners). We will allow multiple entries for the competition – i.e. the more you enter the higher your chances of winning. Yours Sincerely Customer Escalations Desk
