Samsung refusing to repair phone under warranty

Last week I placed the following complaint: http://hellopeter.com/samsung-south-africa/complaints/samsung-refusing-to-repair-phone-under-warranty-***. After the supplier response Samsung phoned me (their number+***) and advised me that my complaint was finalized and I would be getting a replacement handset. I was happy to hear this and thought my troubles were over. They even gave me a reference number for the call ***. When I made a follow call later to find out when I was going to get the new handset they told me the earlier call was a mistake and that they were going to investigate the matter. Their investigation findings are that the phone cannot be repaired and so requires replacement but this will have to be at my expense. The warranty will not cover the replacement either but may cover repair at a split of the cost (part of it Samsung and the other part for me). I want to say that this is utterly ridiculous and very underhand. I am still paying for the phone under contract, the phone is under warranty and it is not working properly and Samsung feel this is not their problem but mine. Nice going Samsung at l will not be buying any more of your products!
