SAMSUNG REFUSES TRADE IN OR REFUND

I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding the Samsung Z Flip 4 that I purchased on contract from Cell C. After owning the device for approximately 1 year, it developed a major fault, which led me to take it to Samsung for repairs, as advised by your team. The phone was returned to me after repairs, only to face the exact same issue again shortly after. I reached out to Cell C for a trade-in or early upgrade, but was redirected to Samsung. However, Samsung has requested that I send the phone for repairs again. I no longer wish to continue with repairs for this recurring issue, as I feel that this solution is both ineffective and inconvenient. According to the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), I am entitled to a remedy when a product is defective, especially after a repair attempt has failed. Therefore, I am formally requesting one of the following resolutions: • A trade-in for a different brand or model of my choice. • A refund for the defective device. • An early upgrade to a different device. I believe that these options are reasonable given the circumstances, as I have been unable to use the phone properly due to the recurring issue, and I no longer want to be subjected to endless repairs. If this matter is not resolved within 10 working days, I will have no choice but to escalate it to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud and the National Consumer Commission (NCC) for further assistance. Please confirm receipt of this email and advise me on how Cell C intends to resolve this issue at your earliest convenience. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.
