SAMSUNG REFUSES TO FIX PHONE UNDER WARRANTY

I bought a galaxy S6 edge at MTN Brooklyn as part of contract renewal. 2 Months later the phone displayed no network when i woke up to use it some morning. Subsequently I took the phone back to Samsung Brooklyn for repairs early February.
# 3 weeks later i had no communication on progress.
I went back to store to check progress and they told me its with cell clinic and i should get it back in a weeks time as they are busy loading software.
A week later i went back to the store to track progress again as there is not customer update whatsoever.
I found the store closed with note that it is closed for renovation.
I called Samsung complaining about service and they attended to my call and got back to me telling me the phone was physically damaged.
I responded that the screen is soft and you can physically see the phone has not scratches or any signs of being dropped for cracked screen.
Later we argued and subsequently the lady helping me connected me to the repair agent. I argued the fact and later the problem changed to missing IMEI number.
I am asked to pay R2000 to replace mother board.
I asked for detailed technical report and indication of what i downloaded that can cause that
