Samsung Printer Rip-off
On 13/01/2016 I purchased a Samsung printer (2675F) for R2999 from a Salesman (Richard Themehali) at Makro Strubens Valley. After about a month and printing only 200 copies the status light comes one indicating that the image unit needs to be replaced. I got a shock of my life and I took the printer back to Makro who sent it for an assessment. I then received an sms asking me to contact Makro, I called and spoke to Naialah who told me that I need to pay R1000 as the image unit is a serviceable part, a serviceable part that prints only 200 copies and needs to be replaced, what a ****! I indicated my dissatisfaction and said that I would like to take this further, she did indicate that a number of other customers also complained about the same printer, she then gave me the Samsung customer service number (***). I called and spoke to Ethal, Linda , Banele and then their supervisor Tabu (Ref ***). I told Tabu that the fact the image unit needs to be replaced and costs another R1000 after 200 copies was never explained to me, amounts to *****. It seems like Samsung is now resorting to flogging their printers at cheap prices but are finding other ways of making money.
