Samsung... please make this right!!

I have experienced numerous issues with my 9kg heat pump dryer. Please refer to all service calls logged pertaining to this machine.

It is very clear that I was sold a defective product, as we had to call Samsung to work on this machine from the first day we tried switching the machine on. At that time, we were informed that a safety mechanism was still in place and it had to be removed and the machine reset, before it could actually work. Then in 2021, the entire heat pump mechanism was replaced as the machine failed to dry any clothes. After this repair, errors were again continuously noted. After reporting these issues, I was told that the machine had to be reset again (note that this was the 3rd time that a technician had to work on the machine in order for it to function).

Now again, the machine just switches off after 5 minutes. I reported this and a technician was assigned after me making payment of R870... just to be told that the motherboard has to be replaced.

After following up with the service provider (MM All Electronics) appointed by Samsung, I was advised that the motherboard cannot be located to complete the repairs to my broken dryer. I was told that the reason for the "shortage" is because the part is in demand and is currently unavailable, or it is no longer made. In the latter instance, a compatible motherboard will have to be sourced and used.

Samsung... why are you selling products which do not have parts readily available. Furthermore, it appears that you resort to using "compatible parts" to effect repairs - how does this impact the integrity of a product?

I spent a large amount of money to purchase this dryer... and I am disgusted with its performance. It is even more disappointing that Samsung refused to replace this defective machine from the onset and did patch job repairs which don't last long.

I want a new machine... I have asked for a replacement many times!!!! Alternatively, Samsung should be held accountable for the cost of the repairs (if the motherboard can ever be found) seeing that major defects have been noted on this machine continuously and because this appliance was never replaced!!!

Furthermore, please note that my issue was reported on 31 July 2023, and I am still sitting with a broken machine that has no parts available for repair.

Samsung... please make this right!

Dear Samsung,

Apart from the response received on Hello Peter, acknowledging receipt of my complaint and committing to conduct an investigation, I have not received any other communication regarding the way forward or a timeline on when I can expect to have a working machine.

Please advise when I can expect to receive the outcome of your investigation.

Looking forward to finalizing this issue soonest!
