Samsung phones are not waterproof or even resistant and Samsung service appalling
on the 4th of January 2022 my Samsung S21 Ultra got wet and no longer wanted to charge. This morning I tried to log a service pickup however the absence of the phones IMEI number - inside the phone which is flat - I couldnt log it online. I called them - same story. No IMEI number no log. So I got the Tygervalley store's number - ***. The person there told me straight up that if there is water damage, YOU CAN JUST AS WELL BUY A NEW PHONE. (What the HELL???) I said: but the phone is water resistant and his answer is yes it is but if there is water damage, it's better to get a new one or buy a wireless charger! (price begins at R1500) I've had Galaxy's since the S3 and I loved my Samsung phones but Samsung has spoilt that for me for good. How can a person just say: best you get new one because we Samsung, Lie to you when we say the phone is water resistant. I mean it fell in the water for a moment not even submerged deeper than 40cm. I got this phone in May or June on contract with Vodacom and it is brand new, undropped, unscratched and now I'm told to get a new one. The person doesnt even know what my financial status is. Doesnt Samsung train their people to be a little bit more sensitive in that sense? Anyway I can't afford a new phone and when I can again, this piece of **** will not be replaced with anything Samsung. What trash and what trashy service
