Samsung Online defective TVset

We bought A TV Set in an Online black Friday Special. it was delivered a few days later. As it was during December holidays, We decided we were only going to unpack the set after the holidays (Seeing we were out of town on most days) and avoided the hustle of mounting the TV in a rush, also considering it was going to be a big set (a lot of things can go wrong). 3 weeks later to our dismay when we unboxed the set. Black lines appeared on screen when it was turned on. We called Samsung and advised that this is the case. Samsung has flat refused responsibility by citing we should have reported the compliant with 14 days. Which does not even make sense because their own technical report says the defect is due to Physical damage, Samsung would have still arrived at the same conclusion despite we had reported it within then. Samsung/Courier DID Not Test their product upon delivery. Because then We would obviously returned the product with the Courier Company. We told them this is the point of contention because it is Irresponsible of Samsung only directly placing the damage to customer and absolving the courier who drove two days with the box set before it was delivered. Damage could have resulted whilst in transit to Sunday when it was dispatched on past Friday from the Courier Store. We wrote to TellusSAMSUNG and tried to state our side of the story and to date we are sitting with a new unused broken set.
