SAMSUNG NOT SMART AT ALL

I purchased a 48'' SMART TV from game on the 08/07/14.<br> TV works well, but I had a problem with the REMOTE. The SMART function cannot work without the remote. The battery on the remote dies after three/four weeks. I continued trying different batteries with no luck I've taken it repairs ,only to be told that I need to buy a new remote.
