Samsung misleading customers
I recently upgraded my wife's phone (contract in my name) via Vodacom and my wife chose the Samsung Note 20. The person who assisted with the upgrade advised that Samsung were running a promotion where if we took the Note 20 Samsung would give us a 32inch TV, subject to stock availability. The promotion was entered into in my wife's name by the assistant. Samsung have confirmed the TV is available, but wont send it until my wife provides a valid TV license IN HER NAME. The more we explain that I have a valid TV license and as per the SABC, only one license is required per household, the more adamant Samsung are that my wife must take out a new TV license in her name - even offering to assist in taking one out. Samsung also keep referring to the rules of the promotion - but when we look at these rules, it says the person entering the competition should be IN POSSESSION of a valid TV license. We maintain that my wife, who lives in the same house as I, is in possession of a valid TV license. Samsung wont budge despite many phone calls - shame on you Samsung
