Samsung micro-sd card problem.

Was really surprised at Samsung's response to my recent problem with a 32gig micro sd card -short story as follows:- Bought a 32gig Samsung branded micro sd card for R200 at Baywest Port Elizabeth in December 2018 and inserted it immediately into my new Huawei cellphone. Did not remove it until my phone stopped reading it in February 2020 ie 14 months old. Tried it in 2 other phones as well as home pc using adaptor card and could not be read. As the packaging stated "10year limited warranty", I contacted Samsung who advised me to take it to one of their agents in PE. Took it to TT3 in Newton Park who put it into a cellphone and saw that it could not be read. They, however, told me for an official assessment to justify a warranty claim, I would have to pay R180. I told them I could buy a new one for less than that and that it made no sense to pay R180 for a potential, not guaranteed, warranty replacement, I declined to have my card "officially assessed" for R180 and they advised me they could therefore not help me any further. I initialized this purely as a matter of principle as money value is small. Have since bought 64gig Sandisk card for R199 at Makro. Will seriously reconsider any future Samsung purchases due to the manner in which this minimal value claim issue was handled. What does "10 year limited Warranty"actually mean?
