Samsung Mall of Africa

My phone had a cracked screen and I took for repairs at Samsung Mall of Africa on the 15/12/2016. After booking my phone in, Samsung Mall of Africa informed me that the proof of purchase I submitted does not have an IMEI number reflecting on it. I immediately contacted Cell C as they are my network provider to clarify the IMEI issue which they did, by sending the IMEI number confirmation via e-mail to Samsung Mall of Africa on the 15/12/2016.

I called Samsung requesting an update regarding the status of my phone on the 17/12/2016, I was then informed by Samsung that the IMEI should reflect on the proof of purchase not as an email confirmation. I then went back to Cell C, where I ensured that an updated proof of purchase (with the IMEI number) was emailed to Samsung Mall of Africa on the 17/12/2016.

I called Samsung Mall of Africa on the same day (17/12/2016) to confirm that they had recived the updated proof of purchase (with the IMEI number) from Cell C. I was then informed by Samsung Mall of Africa that the lady who was busy with my repair query will only be back on Monday (19/12/2016).

I made another call to Samsung Mall of Africa on Monday (19/12/2016) that's when I was informed that my phone will not be repaired, because my 12-Month free repair period has expired, as the phone was purchased on 18/12/2015 and they received the 1st proof of purchase (without the IMEI number) on the 15/12/2016 and the 2nd proof of purchase (with the IMEI number) on the 17/12/2016.

I have send an e-mail to Samsung Management on the 20/12/2016 regarding this issue, till to date (02/01/2017), I haven't received any response regarding the status of my phone.

My query is very simple; Can my phone be repaired by Samsung as I submitted all the relevant documents on time. I should not be made to suffer due to their internal issues.

Regards

KP
