Samsung J series completely worthless

I use to be a huge van of Samsung products, especially phone. I used my old S5 for 4 years before the battery started giving problems and the screen cracked when I dropped it. I never even put a screen protector on. Then I decided to upgrade and get a J8 Duo. It seemed like a good deal, cheaper than the S series but with all the features I need.

Unfortunately, it turned out to be a situation of penny wise pound foolish. I don't know what inferior materials they make the J series out of, but it's not glass and it's not plastic. The phone literally slipped out of my pocket and fell less than 30 cm to the ground. As a result, the whole screen just shattered, UNDER the thick glass screen protector. The screen protector does not have a scratch on it. If I remove the screen protector, the shards of broken screen will come off with it.

When I switch the phone on, it's just black, so I can't use it at all. So I'm back on my trusty S5 with it's single thin crack and ever-depleting battery. The inside of the J8 works fine, it's the outside that means nothing. Unfortunately the worse purchasing decision I ever made.
